Myth: Grey Reef only fishes well in spring
Above: Kirk Kauffman landed this 26.5" brown yesterday(10/16/11) with Rick guiding. Location: Upper Grey Reef
Above: Greg Davisson with a 23" brown with Seth guiding. Greg also landed a 24" rainbow on their half day trip(top). Location: Lower Grey Reef downstream of Casper, WY.
Right now we are covering nearly 100 miles of North Platte River to satisfy all fishing situations and change of scenery. Trophy class fish landed with regularity and high numbers hitting the net daily. Yesterday one boat had 38 fish in the net by lunchtime. Gluttony! Dry fly mayhem, nymphing excellent and streamers producing well for the dedicated. DO NOT pass up a chance to fish Grey Reef this time of year.
