Well what can we say...the party went well. Tattoo's, beer, motorcycles, dirty fly fisherman, law enforcement... we had all the things that make a party, a party! We hope that everyone who attended our little shindig enjoyed themselves and for those who didn't make it, apologies...you missed out. A big thanks goes out to Matt Cassel and CLIFF for donating the bugger beasts, boat patches, etc. If you don't own one of these boxes you need to pick one up! Congrats to Robbie Wall on winning the Echo 590/4!

Don't forget to come to The Reef Fly Shop on May 16th...yep, this Saturday. For each dozen bugs you buy, you will be able to put your name in the hat for a drawing. A fly rod will be the prize, but you must be in attendance to win. We will be doing the drawing on Saturday evening. Don't worry we will provide adult beverages and grilled meat to satisfy your needs. We will also do a traditional raffle. Schwag will be offered to the best dressed (if you want to win, wear your hat with at least 15 dozen streamers hanging off of it). We like to say thanks to our customers and get to know them on a little less professional level. Guides always welcome...of course I'm talking about from other shops.

Well, we've seen weeks of baetis...some days ehhh, others spectacular. Regardless, the fish on Grey Reef are keyed in and the fishing is good. Granted a pine squirrel leech or reef worm is still at the top of the menu, these fish are liking some baetis. Last year May produced some world class dry fly days and as one would expect we hoping this year to be the same. (Key word: hope)
