Ol' Blue
It seems that in every circle there is a piece of equipment named Ol' Blue. Most of the time it is a treasured (if not abused) truck or car. In this case it is a drift boat. Owner/Operator Seth Kapust put her into service in 2001. There is no single boat that has logged more miles on Grey Reef than Ol' Blue...not even close. Seth guides at least 180 days per season. When he isn't guiding he is fishing or sleeping...he doesn't sleep very much. Seth's boat has been down many rivers. The latest were the Roaring Fork and the Colorado. Looks like fun seth. How was the fishing? Nice change of pace from the Platte.
I'm sure Seth will respond when he realizes these pics were posted. But, Seth took me to Delta, CO to pick up my Land Cruiser. We fished the eve caddis hatch on the Gunnison right above Delta. Then to the Roaring Fork the following day. I think we freaked people out by throwing streamers all day long. Everybody else was nymphing or dry/dropper. We had a absurd amount of fish chase our streamers. Good stuff. Then the last morning we did the Colorado. The 5 mile stretch took us only 2 hours to fish...we fished the whole thing, no pushing. Streamers again and we had quite a few hookups. The Colorado is fun water and we are hoping to get back down soon to give it a better look see. Erik

That really looks like some crazy water that is for sure. I would like to fish that river sometime, but my little boat would be crushed I think. Oh well mabey ones of these days. Hope all goes well Erik I will see you guys in two weeks back to wamsutter for one more hitch.
