Super cool fish and great pics! Please do not release walleye back into the river. They taste great and are not welcome in Grey Reef according the the WY Game and Fish. Bet that fish has been having a heyday on the little trout.
Unfortunately you cannot have both. Walley and trout do not mix well together. That is the first walley in my 21 years of fishing the the Reef I've heard of. Walley will kill your river quicker than low waters, people fishing on reds or any other discussion topics you have had in the past 3 years.
Roger Agreed. But still a really cool pic. For anyone who might land a walleye...bonk it. I know it isn't natural to the catch and release crowd (me included) but it is important for the fishery. These 2 big walleye landed on a flyrod have started a little buzz. I have had a couple calls asking about the possibility of getting Mr. Walleye on the fly. The Game and Fish seem to shock a couple when doing their count...they don't get back in however.
